南アメリカのペルーに分布しています。アマゾン川の上流にある深い雨林に生え、日陰を好みます。葉は３裂して白紫色の筋が入ります。８月から９月ごろ、小さな白い花を咲かせます。花は午前中の早くに開き、ふつう昼には閉じてしまいます。別名で「ごしきばとけいそう（五色葉時計草）」とも呼ばれます。

トケイソウ科トケイソウ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Passiflora trifasciata。英名はありません。

The Passiflora trifasciata belongs to Passifloraceae (the Passion flower family). It is an evergreen shrub that is found in Peru, South America. It grows in deep rain forests in the upper reaches of the Amazon River and prefers shade. It produces small white flowers from August to September. The flowers open early in the morning and usually close by noon. It is also known as "Goshikiba-tokei-so" in Japan.
