「まだけ（真竹）」の一品種です。桿がジグザグ状になりますが、節は水平です。丸竹のまま装飾用に利用されます。 |

イネ科マダケ属のタケ類で、学名は Phyllostachys bambusoides f. geniculata。英名はありません。 |

The "Mutsuore-dake" (Phyllostachys bambusoides f. geniculata) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is a form of "Giant timber bamboo". The culms are zigzag, though the nodes are horizontal. The timber is uses as a decoration. |
