わが国のタキイ種苗で作出された「せきちく（石竹）」と「びじょなでしこ（美女撫子）」との一代交配種です。高さは１５〜２０センチの矮性で、四季咲き性があります。赤色からローズピンクそれにピンク色や白色、覆輪など花色も豊富です。花期も長く、５月から８月ごろまで咲き続けます。 |

ナデシコ科ナデシコ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Dianthus cv. Telstar。英名は Dianthus 'Telstar'。 |

The Dianthus 'Telstar' belongs to Caryophyllaceae (the Carnation family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is a filial generation cross between "Chinese pink" (Dianthus chinensis) and "Sweet William" (Dianthus barbatus) bred by Takii Seed Corporation in Japan. It is dwarf, 15 to 20 cm tall, and has a four-season flowering habit. It has a wide range of flower colors, from red to rose pink, pink, white, and rims. It has a long flowering season and continues to bloom from May to August. |
