わが国の北海道の固有種です。日高地方から胆振・渡島地方に分布しています。山地の河原などに生え、高さは２０〜４０センチになります。根生葉は３〜４回３出複葉で、小葉は線状長楕円形です。５月から６月ごろ、茎頂に散房花序をだし、白い花をいっぱい咲かせます。花弁状の萼片は早落性です。別名で「さまにからまつ（様似落葉松）」とも呼ばれます。

キンポウゲ科カラマツソウ属の多年草で、学名は Thalictrum integrilobum。英名はありません。

The "Nagaba-karamatsu" (Thalictrum integrilobum) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to Hokkaido in Japan, from Hidaka region west to Iburi-Oshina region. This herb grows in montane riverbeds and can reach 20-40 cm in height. The leaves are basal, triternate to tetraternate compound with linear-oblong leaflets. The white flowers bloom abundantly in colymbs atop of stems from May to June. The petal-like sepals are caducous (short-lived).
