なみきそう (波来草) [Index] [Back] わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や中国、千島列島、サハリンに分布しています。海岸の砂地や草地に生え、高さは１０〜４０センチになります。葉は長楕円形で互生し、葉縁には鋸歯、表面には短い軟毛があります。６月から９月ごろ、葉腋に青紫色の唇形花を咲かせます。上唇は兜のように膨らみ、下唇は３つに裂けます。 シソ科タツナミソウ属の多年草で、学名は Scutellaria strigillosa。英名はありません。 "Namiki-so" (Scutellaria strigillosa) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed all over Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula, China, the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin. This herb grows on sandy shores and grasslands and can reach 10-40 cm in height. The leaves are oblong and arranged in alternate with serrated edges and short soft hairs on the surfaces. The bluish-purple labiate flowers bloom at the axils from June to September.
