The "Nagaba-miyako-yabu-sotetsu" (Cyrtomium sp.) belongs to the family Dryopteridaceae. It is an evergreen fern that is an interspecific hybrid between the "Nagaba-yabu-sotetsu" (Cyrtomium devexiscapulae) and the "Miyako-yabu-sotetsu" (Cyrtomium yamamotoi). The leaves are pinnate compound, dark green, glossy and leathery with a slight thickness. There are about 15 pairs of lateral pinnae, and the pinnae do not have auricles. The leaf stalk base has brown to blackish brown scales. The sorus is round and scattered over the entire surface of the pinna, and the indisum is grayish white with a black center. This species is a pentaploid species with apogamy.
