わが国の本州、岩手県の早池峰山と、北海道の夕張岳・戸蔦別岳にだけに分布しています。蛇紋岩地帯の崩壊地に特有の植物です。草丈は１０センチほどですが、よく分枝して大株となります。６月から７月ごろ、鮮やかな黄色の花を総状に咲かせます。

アブラナ科イヌナズナ属の多年草で、学名は Draba japonica。英名はありません。

The "Nambu-inu-nazuna" (Draba japonica) belongs to Brassicaceae (the Mustard family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed only in Mt. Hayachine in Iwate Prefecture, Honshu and Mt. Yubari and Mt. Tottabetsu in Hokkaido in Japan. It is a plant peculiar to the collapsed area of the serpentine area. The plant height is about 10 cm, but it branches well and becomes a large tuffet. The bright yellow flowers bloom in racemed clusters from June to July.
