台湾の中部から北部に分布しています。高地の雨林内に生え、樹幹などに着生して高さは２〜６センチになります。偽球茎は扁卵形で連なってつきます。葉は長楕円形から卵形です。花は直径２．５〜３センチの黄緑色から淡緑色で、１０月から１２月ごろに１個が偽球茎の頂に咲きます。花弁や萼片は蝋質です。台湾では「連珠石斛」や「中原氏石斛」、「蝋連珠」などと呼ばれます。

ラン科エピゲネイウム属の常緑多年草で、学名は Epigeneium nakaharae。英名はありません。

Epigeneium nakaharae belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herbacious plant that is distributed in middle and north Taiwan. This is an epiphyte that grows on tree trunks in upland rainforests and can reach 2-6 cm in height. Pseudobulb is oblate and creeping in a row. Leaves are oblong to ovate. From October to December, yellow-green or greenish solitary flower 2.5-3 cm wide is seen on a terminal pseudobulb. Petals and sepals are waxy.
