なたねたびらこ (菜種田平子) [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパから南西アジアが原産です。現在では北アメリカやオーストラリア、アジアにも広く帰化しています。わが国では１９５９年に、神奈川県で発見されています。茎は直立し、高さは８０〜１２０センチになります。茎の下部につく葉はしばしば羽状複葉になり、上部の葉は小さな楕円形で無柄です。５月から８月ごろ、直径１センチほどの、黄色い舌状花のみからなる頭花を咲かせます。果実は、硬くなった総苞片に囲まれた痩果です。  キク科ナタネタビラコ属の一年草または多年草で、学名は Lapsana communis。英名は Common nipplewort。  The Common nipplewort (Lapsana communis) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is an annual or a perennial herb that is native to Europe and southwest Asia. It is now widely naturalized in North America, Australia, and Asia. In Japan, it was discovered in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1959. The stem is erect and grows to a height of 80 to 120 cm. The lower leaves on the stem are often pinnate compound, while the upper leaves are small, elliptic, and sessile. 1 cm in diameter, the flower head is composed only of yellow ray florets.
