The Nemesia (Nemesia strumosa) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family) and consists of about 60 species. It is an annual herb that is native to the Cape province in South Africa. This herb is weak in weather, hot and humid conditions, and it prefers cool environment. It is dwarf, much-branched and produces many flowers at the top branches. It is advanced to breed improvement, there are many cultivars with varied flower colors, such as scarlet, pink, purple or yellow. The 3rd photo is a garden variety 'Melanie'. It is named after the daughter of Chris Tellwright, the author of the variety.
