南アフリカ、ケープ地方の南部から南西部に分布しています。海岸沿いの山地に生え、葉の長さは３０センチほどになります。晩秋に、花茎を伸ばして淡いピンク色から濃いピンク色の花を咲かせます。細い花被片にはフリルがあり、目立ちます。冬生育型で、夏には休眠します。

ユリ科ネリネ属の多年草で、学名は Nerine humilis。英名はありません。

Nerine humilis belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from the southern part to the southwestern part of the Cape region of South Africa. This herb grows in the mountains along the coast and leaves are about 30 cm long. The flower stalks are stretched to bloom pale pink to deep pink flowers in late fall. The narrow tepals have frills and stand out. It grows in winter and sleeps in summer.
