南アフリカ中部のフリーステイト州（Vrystaat）から東部のムプマランガ州（Mpumalanga）に分布しています。高さは３０〜６０センチになり、葉は舌状線形で螺旋状に捩れるのが特徴です。夏、花茎を伸ばして散形花序をだし、鮮やかなピンク色の花を咲かせます。花糸は極端に反り返ります。冬には地上部は枯死して休眠します。 |

Nerine krigei belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial evergreen herb that is distributed from Free State (Vrystaat) in central South Africa to Mpumalanga in the east. This herb grows up 30-60 cm in height, and the leaves are tongue-shaped and spirally twisted. In summer, the flower stalks are stretched to produce umbels, and bright pink flowers come in bloom. The filaments are extremely warped. In winter, the terrestrials die and sleep. |
