にしきしだ (錦羊歯) [Index] [Back] わが国の各地をはじめ、台湾や朝鮮半島、中国の北部に分布する「いぬわらび（犬蕨）」の一品種です。これは「いぬわらび」の葉模様が美しいものを選抜したもので、紫色を帯びた中軸や、グラデーションの葉などがあります。 イワデンダ科メシダ属の夏緑性シダ類で、学名は Athyrium niponicum f. metallicum。英名は Japanese painted fern。 The Japanese painted fern (Athyrium niponicum f. metallicum) belongs to the family Woodsiaceae. It is a summer-green fern that is a variety of "Inu-warabi" found throughout Japan, as well as in Taiwan, the Korean Peninsula, and northern China.
