ヨーロッパで改良された園芸品種です。高さは１．５〜２メートルほどになります。４月から５月ごろ、ごく小さな杏色の斑があるシェルピンク色の花を咲かせます。甘い芳香が特徴です。品種名は、フランス語で「ソワール・ド・パリ（パリの夕暮れ）」です。

The Azalea 'Soir de Paris' (Rhododendron cv. Soir de Paris) belongs to Ericaceae (the Azalea family). It is a small deciduous tree that is a garden variety improved in Europe. It grows 1.5 to 2 m tall and produces shell-pink flowers with very small apricot-colored spots from April to May. It is characterized by its sweet aroma. The variety is called "Soir de Paris" (Evening in Paris) in French.
