The "No-azuki" (Dunbaria villosa) belongs to Fabaceae (the Pea family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Miyagi Prefecture of Honshu west to Shikoku and Kyushu, as well as the Korean Peninsula and China. This herb grows in the forest edges and grasslands, and the stems crawl over the ground for more than 1 meter. The leaves are trifoliate and the leaflets are ovate-diamond. The stems and leaves have soft hairs. The back side of leaves and the calyxes have reddish brown glands. The racemes are borne at the axils and the yellow papilionacenous flowers bloom from August to September. The sickle-shaped keels are cylindrical and twisted. In Taiwanese Chinese, it is called "毛野扁豆", and in Chinese, "野扁豆" (ye bian dou).
