"Nobine-chidori" (Gymnadenia camtschatica) belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed throughout Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula, Sakhalin and the Kamchatska Peninsula. This herb grows in montane forests and grasslands, and can reach 30-60 cm in height. The leaves are narrow-oblong with wavy edges and clasp the stem. The pale magenta flowers bloom atop of stem from May to July. The spurs are short, inflected and inconspicuous.
