南アフリカのケープ地方に分布しています。粘土地帯に生え、群生します。葉は２個が根生し、表面には小突起があります。春に花茎を伸ばして、淡い赤紫色の小さな花を咲かせます。花被片の先端には、赤紫色などの斑があります。

ユリ科ラケナリア属の多年草で、学名は Lachenalia unicolor。英名はありません。

The Lachenalia unicolor belongs to Lilaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in the Cape region of South Africa. It grows in clusters in clay areas. It has two basal leaves with a surface with small spikes. In spring, the flower stalks grow and produce small, pale reddish-purple flowers. The tips of the perianth have reddish-purple or other mottling.
