ヨーロッパ中部からシベリアにかけて分布しています。日当たりのよい森の中や湿潤な草原に生え、高さは４０〜８０センチになります。下部の葉は円形または心形で、茎葉は卵形披針形、縁には粗い鋸歯があります。８月ごろ、総状または円錐花序に、青色のベル状の花を咲かせます。花には甘い爽やかな香りがあります。種子は９月に熟します。

キキョウ科ツリガネニンジン属の多年草で、学名は Adenophora lilifolia。英名は Ladybells、Lily-leaved ladybells。

The Ladybells (Adenophora lilifolia) belongs to Campanulaceae (the Bellflower family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from central Europe to Siberia. This herb grows in sunny forests and wet meadows, with a height of 40-80 cm. The lower leaves are circular or heart shaped, the cauline ones are ovate or lanceolate, and the edges are coarse serrated. The blue bell-shaped flowers will bloom in a compact or conical inflorescence in August. The flowers have a sweet refreshing scent. The seeds ripen in September.
