「ラバンジン」系のラベンダーは、「イングリッシュラベンダー（Lavandula angustifolia）」と「スパイクラベンダー（Lavandula latifolia）」の自然交雑、人工交配によってできた品種です。暑さ寒さに強くて、濃い青紫色の花と清々しい芳香が特徴です。写真上・中１の品種は、「インプレスパーブル（cv. Impress Purple）」、中２・下は日清製油で作出された「プロバンスブルー（Provance Blue）」。

シソ科ラバンデュラ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Lavandula x intermedia。英名は Lavandin。

The Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is an evergreen sub-shrub that is a natural or an artifical crossing between "English lavender" (Lavandula angustifolia) and "Spike lavender" (Lavandula latifolia). This herb has hot and cold tolerance, and it is defined by its dark bluish-purple flowers and breezy fragrance. The 1st to 2nd photos are a cultivar 'Impress Purple', and 3rd to bottom are a cultivar 'Provance Blue'.
