南アフリカのケープ地方に分布しています。標高１０００メートルまでの砂礫地に生え、高さは２メートルほどになります。樹形は丸みを帯びます。雌雄異株で、６月ごろ花を咲かせます。黄色い花弁のように見えるのは、色づいた苞葉です。 |

ヤマモガシ科ギンヨウジュ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Leucadendron laureolum。英名は Golden conebush。 |

The golden conebush (Leucadendron laureolum) belongs to the family Proteaceae. It is an evergreen shrub that is distributed in the Cape region of South Africa. This shrub grows on gravel up to an altitude of 1000 meters and is about 2 meters high. It is dioecious and blooms around June. The colored bracts look like yellow petals. |
