ヨーロッパが原産です。亜高山帯から高山帯の草地に生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。根生葉は３〜４回羽状複葉です。６月から８月ごろ、茎頂に複散形花序をだし、小さな白色の花を咲かせます。

セリ科マルバトウキ属の多年草で、学名は Ligusticum mutellina。英名は Mountain lovage。

|
The mountain lovage (Ligusticum mutellina) belongs to Apiaceae (the Carrot family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Europe. This herb grows in subalpine to alpine grasslands and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The basal leaves are tri-pinnate or quadri-pinnate. The compond umbels come on the stem apices and bloom small white flowers from June to August.
