The Lilium primulinum var. burmanicum belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Yunnan Province in southern China to Burma, Thailand. This herb grows in forests, forest edges, and grasslands at an altitude of 1200 to 2700 m, and is about 1 m high. The leaves are lanceolate and opposite, with yellow flowers blooming on the upper axils from July to October. The tepals are curled up and have a reddish-brown color in the center. In Chinese name, it is called "Zi hou bai he".
