リカステ・ブレウィスパタ [Index] [Back] 中央アメリカのコスタリカからニカラグア、パナマに分布しています。標高８００〜１８００メートルにある温帯から熱帯の湿潤な山地に生え、樹木や岩上に着生します。卵形から紡錘形の偽球茎から、楕円形の葉をだします。春の終わり、直立した花序をだし、芳香のある白色の花を咲かせます。萼片は薄い緑色地に淡い薔薇色の斑点があり、側花弁は白地に薔薇色のぼかしが入り、唇弁は薔薇色を帯びた紫色の斑点の入ります。 ラン科リカステ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Lycaste brevispatha。英名はありません。 The Lycaste brevispatha belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Costa Rica to Nicaragua and Panama in Central America. It grows in humid temperate to tropical mountainous areas at an altitude of 800 to 1800 m, epiphytic on trees and rocks. It has elliptic leaves that grow from ovate to spindle-shaped pseudobulbs. At the end of spring, it produces erect inflorescences and fragrant white flowers.
