ヨーロッパアルプスやピレネー山脈に分布しています。標高７００〜２５００メートルの小川の辺や草地などに生え、高さは２０〜７０センチになります。葉は掌状に３〜７裂します。５月から８月ごろ、分枝した茎に集散花序をだし、真っ白な花を咲かせます。

キンポウゲ科キンポウゲ属の多年草で、学名は Ranunculus aconitifolius。英名はありません。

The Ranunculus aconitifolius belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the European Alps and the Pyrennes mountains. This herb grows along brooks or meadows and can reach 20-70 cm in height. The leaves are deeply 3-7 lobed palmately. The cymes are borne on the branched stems and the pure white flowers bloom from May to August.
