ヨーロッパ原産のレペンス種を改良した園芸品種です。高さは３０センチほどですが、這い性でランナーを伸ばして広がります。４月から６月ごろ、小さな八重の黄色い花を咲かせます。耐寒性があり、グランドカバーとしても利用されます。

キンポウゲ科キンポウゲ属の多年草で、学名は Ranunculus repens cv. Gold Coin。英名は Ranunculus 'Gold Coin'。

The ranunculus 'Gold Coin' (Ranunculus repens cv. Gold Coin) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is a horticultural variety that is an improvement of Ranunculus repens native to Europe. This herb grows up about 30 cm, but it is repent, extends and spreads by the runners. The small double yellow flowers come in April to June. It is cold resistant and is also used as a ground cover.
