The bishop's cap (Astrophytum myriostigma) belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a treelike cuctus that is distributed in the highlands of northern and central Mexico. It can be 15 to 25 cm high, sometimes even 60 cm. It has 4 to 6 ridges, usually 5 ridges, and no spines. White spots cover the skin. In summer, the shiny yellow flowers come in bloom. The red fruits ripen after the flowers.
