れぶんいわれんげ (礼文岩蓮華) [Index] [Back] わが国の北海道、礼文島および知床山系に分布しています。海岸の岩の上に生え、高さは１０〜１５センチになります。葉は多肉質で、倒卵状被針形から楕円形、ロゼットを形成していて「蓮華（れんげ）」のように見えます。８月から１１月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして総状花序をつけ、白い花を咲かせます。花後、その株は枯れますが、短い匍匐枝をだして小株をつくります。 ベンケイソウ科イワレンゲ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Orostachys furusei (syn. Hylotelephium ohbae)。英名はありません。 The "Rebun-iwa-renge" (Orostachys furusei) belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed in Hokkaido, Rebun Island, and the Shiretoko Mountains in Japan. It grows on coastal rocks and reaches a height of 10 to 15 cm. The leaves are fleshy, obovate to elliptic, and form rosettes, resembling lotus flowers. From August to November, it extends its scapes and produces racemes of white flowers.
