メキシコから南アメリカ北部、ジャマイカに分布しています。熱帯雨林の樹木などに着生します。葉状の茎はよく分枝して、長さ６０センチほどになります。茎の縁は鈍鋸歯状です。小さなピンク色がかった黄白色の花を咲かせます。果実は白い球形です。園芸上は「うめがえ（梅が枝）」と呼ばれます。

サボテン科リブサリス属の柱サボテンで、学名は Rhipsalis ramulosa。英名はありません。

The Rhipsalis ramulosa belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a treelike cuctus that is distributed from Mexico to northern South America and Jamaica. This cactus grows on trees in the rainforest. The foliate stems are well-branched and can reach up to 60 cm in length. The edges of the stems are blunt sawtooth. It blooms small pinkish yellowish white flowers. The fruits are white spheres.
