マレー半島からサラワク、スマトラ島、ミンダナオ島にかけての熱帯アジア高地が原産です。２．５メートルほどの高さになり、広円形の葉を輪生につけます。ジャスミンの香りがある純白の花を咲かせます。 |

ツツジ科ツツジ属の常緑低木で、学名は Rhododendron jasminiflorum。英名はありません。 |

The Rhododendron jasminiflorum belongs to Ericaceae (the Azalea family). It is a small evergreen tree that is native to the Malay Peninsula, Sarawak on the Borneo, Sumatra Island and Mindanao. This tree grows in tropical highlands and can reach about 2.5 m in height. The leaves are broad-round and annular. The pure white flowers has a jasmine-like fragrance. |
