中央アジアから中国の北西部が原産です。高さは２メートル以上になり、葉は奇数羽状複葉で灰緑色の小葉がつきます。花は白色でわずかに芳香があり、直径５センチほどです。果実には剛毛が生え、橙赤色に熟します。種小名は、ロシアの植物学者のオルガ・フェドチェンコに因みます。

バラ科バラ属の落葉小低木で、学名は Rosa fedtschenkoana。英名はありません。

The Rosa fedtschenkoana belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a deciduos shrub that is native to Central Asia and northwestern China. This shrub can reach up to 2 m in height. The leaves are odd-pinnate compound with grayish-green leaflets. The flowers are slightly scented, white about 5 cm across and bloom from June to September. The fruits are bristly and ripen in orange-red. The specific epithet is named after Olga Fedtschenko, a Russian botanist.
