ルドベキア (大反魂草)

北アメリカ原産で、牧草地や草原、麦畑などいたるところでみられます。そのため、一般にはコーンフラワーと呼ばれています。「ルドベキア」という名前は、スウェーデンの植物学者ルドベックにちなんだもの。代表種の「おおはんごんそう（大反魂草）」は、花が大きく、花びらがそり返りぎみに開き、中心花が天に高く突きだすかたちに由来しています。数多くの園芸品種が作出されています。 |

キク科オオハンゴンソウ属の多年草で、学名は Rudbeckia sp.（属の総称）。英名は Corn flower。 |

The Corn flower (Rudbeckia sp.) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to North America. This herb grows in pastures, grasslands or barley fields and can be found in so many places. The genus Rudbeckia is named after the Swedish botanist "Olof Rudbeck". The representative species, "Oo-hangon-so", has large flowers with petals that open in a recurved position and a central flower that sticks out high into the sky. Numerous garden varieties have been produced. |
