ルエリア・メッツァエ [Index] [Back] アメリカの中南部、テキサス州に分布しています。メスキートの潅木帯やオークの小さな丘、河床や石灰岩の丘陵などに生え、高さは６０センチほどになります。葉は卵形で粗い鋸歯がふります。５月から１０月ごろ、白色の花を咲かせます。 キツネノマゴ科ルイラソウ属の多年草で、学名は Ruellia metzae。英名は Metz's wild petunia。 The Metz's wild petunia (Ruellia metzae) belongs to Acanthaceae (the Ruellia family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the south-central part of the United States, Texas. This herb grows in mesquite areas, oak mottes, stream beds and limestone hills, and can reach about 60 cm in height. The leaves are ovate with coarse toothed edges.
