Calanthe okinawensis (Calanthe okinawensis) belongs to the Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed to Kyushu of Japan, from the Yakushima, the Tanegashima to Okinawa, as well as Taiwan. This herb is a terrestrial Orchids and summer blooming "Ebine". The flower stalks of 40-80 cm in length are extended from July to September, and the flowers will bloom in the terminal racemes. The flower-colors are rich in pure white to pink, crimson, dark purple and so on.
