ビルマからタイ北部、中国の南部に分布しています。標高が１２００〜１９００メートルの高地に生え、高さは９０〜１２０センチになります。球茎は扁平な卵形で、線状舌形の葉をつけます。初冬のころ、花茎を伸ばして、褐色の筋が目立つ花を咲かせます。強い芳香があります。

ラン科シュンラン属の常緑多年草で、学名は Cymbidium tracyanum。英名は Tracy's cymbidium。

The Tracy's cymbidium (Cymbidium tracyanum) belongs to Orcidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen herb that is distributed from Burma to northern Thailand and southern China. This herb grows in highlands with an altitude of 1200 to 1900 m, and can reach 90-120 cm in height. The corm is flat, ovate and has linear tongue-shaped leaves. In early winter, the flower stalks are stretched to bloom flowers with prominent brown streaks. It has a strong fragrance.
