The Germander sage (Salvia chamaedryoides) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed from the state of Texas in the south central part of the United States to northern Mexico. This herb spreads by the streched rhizome, and the height is about 45 cm. The leaves are elliptic, opposite, and covered with white fine hair. From May to November, the flower stalks are grown and blue flowers come in bloom. Also known as "Mexican blue sage".
