The Wollemi pine (Wollemia nobilis) belongs to the family Araucariaceae. It is a tall evergreen tree that was discovered in the valley of Wollemi National Park in Queensland, Australia in 1994. It is a survival from the Jurassic period when dinosaurs flourished, 150 to 200 million years ago. This tree has survived so far because it can adapt to large temperature changes. The height is as high as 35-40 m, the leaves are dark green, like a "horse mane". Also, this tree separates every twig when the leaf life comes.
