アフリカ・タンザニアの東部、ヌグル山地に分布しています。雨林の岩上や樹幹などに着生して、ロゼットを形成します。葉は淡緑色の心円形で、縁には鋸歯があり、短毛に被われます。花は淡い紫色で、中心部は濃紫色です。

イワタバコ科セントポーリア属の多年草で、学名は Saintpaulia brevipilosa。英名はありません。

The Saintpaulia brevipilosa belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is a perennial herbacious plant that is endemic to the Nguru Mountains, in the eastern part of Tanzania. This is an epiphyte that occurs on rocks or tree trunks in rainforests and grows as a rosette. Leaves are pale green, orbicular-cordate with toothed edges and short hairs. Flowers are pale purple with darker purple center.
