アフリカ・タンザニアの北東部、ウサンバラ山地に分布しています。雨林の岩上や樹幹などに着生して、ロゼットを形成します。葉は濃緑色の心形で、縁には鋸歯があり、長い毛が生えます。花は淡青色です。

イワタバコ科セントポーリア属の多年草で、学名は Saintpaulia diplotricha。英名はありません。

The Saintpaulia diplotricha belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is a perennial herbacious plant that is endemic to the Usambara Mountains in the northeastern part of Tanzania. This is an epiphyte that grows on rocks or tree trunks in rainforests and grows as a rosette. Leaves are dark green, cordate with toothed edges and long hairs. Flowers are pale blue.
