The Meadow clary (Salvia pratensis) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Europe, West Asia and North Africa. This herb grows in grasslands, scrub edges and woodland borders, and can reach 1-1.5 m in height. The leaves are long ovate and opposite with rough surface. The spikes are borne and bloom dark blue-purple, rarely pink or white flowers from June to August.
