The Yellow trumpet (Sarracenia flava) belongs to Sarraceniaceae (the Picher plant family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed along the southeastern coast of the United States, from Virginia to Florida and Alabama. This herb is a large, upright type with a height of about 1.2 m. It grows in a marsh where pine trees grow naturally, and has elongated tubular bladders. The flowers come in April to May. In Japanese name, it is called "Kibana-heishi-so".
