アフリカのナミビアに分布しています。南あるいは南東側の急峻な斜面に生え、高さは８センチ以上になります。全体にひれ伏し、茎は直径２センチ以上になります。葉は広卵形から幅広の楕円形で柔らかな毛が生え、２列に並びます。葉はローズピンクから淡いピンク色で、咽に模様がありません。

フウロソウ科サルコカウロン属の常緑小低木で、学名は Sarcocaulon peniculinum。英名は Bushman's candle。

The Bushman's candle (Sarcocaulon peniculinum) belongs to Geraniaceae (the Geranium family). It is an evergreen shrublet that is native to Namibia. This shrublet grows on very steep slopes south or south-east facing, and it can reach up to 8 cm in height. It is perostrate and its branches are usually more than 2 cm in diameter. The leaves are broadly ovate to transversely broadly elliptic, pubescent and arranged in two rows. The flowers are rose to pale pink without marks in throat.
