スカビオサ・コルムバリア [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパの地中海地方から北アフリカ、そして西アジアに分布しています。乾燥した日当たりの良い草地や岩がちな山麓、それにひらけた森などに生え、高さは６０センチほどになります。よく分枝して、灰緑色で毛の多い葉がつきます。基部の葉は披針形で、茎葉は分裂するか２回分裂します。夏から初めての霜が降りるまで、多くの淡いふじ青色の頭花を咲かせます。 マツムシソウ科マツムシソウ属の二年草で、学名は Scabiosa columbaria。英名は Small scabious。  The Small scabious (Scabiosa columbaria) belongs to Dipsacaceae (the Teasel family). It is a biennial herb that is native to from the Mediterranean region of Europe, North Africa and western Asia. This herb grows in dry, sunny grasslands, rocky hillsides and open woods, and it can reach about 60 cm in height. It is much branched and has gray-green, rather hairy leaves. The basal leaves are lanceolate, and the stem leaves are dissected or twice dissected. The numerous lavender-blue flowerheads bloom from summer until the first frost.
