ヨーロッパの中部から南部に分布しています。標高７００〜２６００メートルの乾燥して岩の多い草地に生え、高さは２０〜３０センチになります。基部の葉は卵状披針形で、茎葉は羽状に浅裂します。７月から８月ごろ、赤紫色の花を咲かせます。

マツムシソウ科マツムシソウ属の多年草で、学名は Scabiosa lucida。英名はありません。

The Scabiosa lucida belongs to Dipsacaceae (the Teasel family). It is a perennial herb that is native to central and southern Europe. This herb grows in dry and stony grasslands 700-2600 m elevation and can reach 20-30 cm in height. The basal leaves are oval-lanceolate and the upper leaves are pinnatilobate. The reddish-purple flowers come in July to September.
