The Chinese hydrangea vine (Schizophragma integrifolium) belongs to Hydrangeaceae (the Hydrangea family). It is a deciduous woody vine that is native to central and western China. This vine grows in rocky cliffs, sparse hillside forests and forest edges. It climbs up by aerial roots. The leaves are dark green, ovate, entire with slender-pointed tips. The corymbs are borne on the terminal branchlets, and bloom creamy white flowers in summer. The ornamental flowers are bract-like.
