The Lady's bedstraw (Galium verum) belongs to Rubiaceae (the Madder family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Europe to West Asia. This herb grows on roadsides, riverbanks, and near the coast, and can reach 60-90 cm in height. The stems are square, supple and strong, the leaves are linear, and 6 to 8 whorled. From July to August, conical inflorescences are borne on the tips of the stems and the upp er axils, and many small yellow flowers bloom.
