ペルーやエクアドルが原産の「アルテルナンテラ・ポリゲンス」の園芸品種です。愛知県一宮市の角田ナーセリーで作出されました。高さは６０〜８０センチほどになりますが、花序の長さは１センチほどしかありません。短日性で、１０月以降に小さな赤紫色の花を咲かせます。

ヒユ科ツルノゲイトウ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Alternanthera porrigens cv. Senniti-kobo。英名はありません。

"Senniti-kobo" belongs to Amaranthaceae (the Amaranth family). It is an annual herb that is a cultivar of "Alternanthera polygens" native to Peru and Ecuador. It was created at Tsunoda Nursery in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture. The height is about 60-80 cm, but the inflorescence is only about 1 cm long. It is short-day and blooms small magenta flowers after October.
