しゃこたんちく (積丹竹)

わが国の各地に分布する「ちまきざさ（粽笹）」の亜種で、北海道が原産のようです。桿は直径１センチ、高さは２メートルほどで、茶褐色の斑点があるのが特徴です。桿が肉厚なことから、むかしは煙管の「ラオ（羅宇）」や毛筆の軸に使われました。大阪府高槻市北部の樫田地区にも生育地があります。 |

イネ科ササ属の常緑タケ類で、学名は Sasa palmata ssp. nebulosa。英名はありません。 |

"Shakotan-chiku" (Sasa palmata ssp. nebulosa) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is an evergreen bamboo that is a subspecies of "Broadleaf bamboo" that is distributed in various parts of Japan, and seems to be native to Hokkaido. The rod is 1 cm in diameter and 2 m in height, and is characterized by brown spots. Since the rod is thick, it was once used for the smoke tube "Lao" and the shaft of the brush. There is also a habitat in the Kashida district in the northern part of Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture. |
