インドネシアのスラウェシ島の固有種です。ミナハサ半島に生え、高さは２５メートルになります。葉は線形で細長く、枝が枝垂れます。香港やシンガポール、オーストラリアなどでは観賞用として栽培されています。和名は園芸名です。 |

クワ科イチジク属の常緑高木で、学名は Ficus celebensis (syn. Ficus irregularis)。英名は Weeping fig。 |

The Weeping fig (Ficus celebensis) belongs to Moraceae (the Mulberry family). It is a tall evergreen tree that is an endemic species of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It grows on the Minahasa Peninsula and can reach a height of 25 m. Its leaves are linear and narrow, and its branches droop. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, etc. The Japanese name "Shonan-gomu" is a horticultural name. |
