わが国の小笠原諸島や南西諸島それに東南アジアに分布する「しまおおたにわたり（島大谷渡り）」の園芸品種です。全体に丸みがあり、葉はやや短くて幅広いのが特徴です。 |

チャセンシダ科チャセンシダ属の常緑シダ類で、学名は Asplenium nidus cv. Avis。英名は Bird's nest fern 'Avis'。 |

Bird's nest fern 'Avis' (Asplenium nidus cv. Avis) belongs of the Aspleniaceae (the Spleenworts family). It is a horticultural variety of "Bird's nest fern" distributed in the Ogasawara Islands, the Southwest Islands and Southeast Asia. The whole plant is rounded and the leaves are rather short and wide. |
