シベリアあやめ (シベリア菖蒲) [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパに分布する「こあやめ（小菖蒲）」とわが国から中国東北部それにシベリアに分布する「あやめ」との交配種です。アメリカで改良が進み、花色も花型もバラエティーに富んでいます。高さは５０〜１２０センチになります。５月から６月ごろ、茎頂に紫色や白色、青色、紅紫色、黄色などの花を咲かせます。 アヤメ科アヤメ属の多年草で、学名は Iris sibirica x sanguinea。英名は Iris sibirica hybrids。  The Iris sibirica hybrids (Iris sibirica x sanguinea) belongs to Iridaceae (the Iris family). It is a perennial herb that is a crossbreed between the "Siberian iris" (Iris sibirica), which is distributed in Europe, and the "Iris" (Iris sanguinea), which is distributed in Japan, northeastern China, and Siberia. It has been improved in the United States, and has a wide variety of flower colors and shapes.
