The Iris sibirica hybrids (Iris sibirica x sanguinea) belongs to Iridaceae (the Iris family). It is a perennial herb that is a crossbreed between the "Siberian iris" (Iris sibirica), which is distributed in Europe, and the "Iris" (Iris sanguinea), which is distributed in Japan, northeastern China, and Siberia. It has been improved in the United States, and has a wide variety of flower colors and shapes. It grows 50 to 120 cm tall and produces purple, white, blue, reddish-purple, or yellow flowers at the top of stems from May to June.
